🤖 NVIDIA opens 3,500+ physics-accurate robot assets on Hugging Face
NVIDIA launched SimReady Central, a free library of open OpenUSD assets designed for training robots in simulation. Lightwheel handled the physics behind the collection.
Looking real is not enough, the company argues — assets also have to behave real. Lightwheel's agentic QA runs each asset through simulation, checks contact, stability and articulation, then tunes and re-tests until it holds. Those findings feed back into the SimReady schema itself.
The work focuses on the side that is harder to see: whether contact, friction, mass and joints hold up when a robot interacts with an asset. Physical tuning is grounded in real-world measurement, and the schema ensures properties are described consistently across solvers.
"If the physics is wrong, the benchmark is too," Lightwheel said.
