Question (141): The imam of our mosque is someone who watches football matches. Alongside this, he commands people to good and forbids them from evil, delivers khutbahs, and gives sermons. Is such a person fit for the position of imam? Can we pray behind him?
Answer (141): If there is another imam, pray behind him. Because praying behind such a person is makruh.
