Question (139): Who are the Atharis and what does their creed consist of?
Answer (139): The Atharis are those who follow the "athar" (transmitted texts), such as Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal and other muhaddith scholars of Ahl al-Sunnah. Their creedal methodology is "tafwid."
