Question (134): Is al-Albani considered a person of knowledge?
Answer (134): Al-Albani is a "sahafi" (someone who derives knowledge from books/manuscripts without proper study under teachers). He did not acquire knowledge from its rightful people and reliable teachers. For this very reason, he both fell into misguidance himself and led people astray from the right path.
