Students accused Khadra of demanding intimate images, repeatedly calling and messaging them, sending sexual images, and using his academic authority to pressure them. One woman said that students were threatened with being prevented from progressing academically unless they answered his calls or sent him pictures.
Khadra previously served as chair of Palestinian Community Scotland and publicly campaigned over Gaza. He received significant attention in 2023 after saying 70 members of his extended family had been killed in Gaza, a case then highlighted by Scotland’s First Minister in parliament.
