Prayer pointers - week 3 ๐๐
Romans 2:1-3:20 ๐
- Ask God to help us see that even the best of us don't ๐ซmeet his standards of righteousness, and all of us desperately need the gospel.
ISM Dinners with ISM Tour friends ๐
1) Thank God for dinner at David's place last Saturday! This is one of 2 ISM dinners, following up with the international students after the ISM GBTB tour (week 1 Monday). Thank God for intentional brothers and sisters who took time out to help, where 4 helpers & 5 international friends (including 1 Christian) turned up. Thankful for the homecooked food, games and conversations. ๐ Thank God that through the testimonies that were shared, that they were able to listen about how good our God is to undeserving sinners like us. Pray for the 4 non-Christian friends to be open to hearing the gospel. Pray for us to continue loving and welcoming them to Jesus! ๐ค
2) Pray for dinner at Rebecca's place this Saturday, on the 29th! Pray that the helpers would prepare their hearts in prayer, that they utterly trust that it is God who opens blind eyes! Pray that the helpers would love the lost, and that they love for our God to be glorified. Thankful for the 2 international students who have polled their interest, pray for fruitful conversations and that more may be open and free to join us!
Ask God for opportunities to keep our convos going in future meet-ups and that they'll be keen to explore Jesus during their time here in SG!
Romans Bible Studies
- As we start our bible studies on Romans in our BS groups, pray for humble and receptive hearts to apply God's word into our lives. Pray for the desire and faithfulness to repent and turn to Jesus, as we know He will forgive our sins.
- Thank God for sustaining everyone throughout the start of this semester! Pray for guidance and wisdom, for everyone to make the right and godly choices, and for the desire to give God glory in every aspect of our lives.
- Pray for our Bible study groups to be growing in genuine love and care for one another as we learn and apply God's word. โค๏ธ Pray that we will be intentional in getting to know one another more deeply, open in sharing honestly about our lives and struggles! Pray that we will encourage one another, even as the world has many attractive idols, to keep following Jesus!
