The focus of this postdoctoral position is the formulation and elaboration of catalytic–conductive granular materials based on graphene and silicon carbide (SiC). This research is a critical component of the Electrothermal Chemical Processes (eCP) project, which aims to revolutionize high-temperature chemical manufacturing by reducing carbon dioxide emissions. Traditional processes such as methane steam reforming and naphtha steam cracking are major contributors to industrial energy consumption and CO₂ output. The eCP project proposes a transformative approach: replacing fossil-fuel combustion with electrified reactors powered by decarbonized electricity, thus directly addressing the urgent need for sustainable industrial practices in line with 2030–2050 climate targets.
