⚫️ Highlights from the speech by the Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Ziyad Al-Nakhalah:
—
We meet today on the thirty-ninth anniversary of the launch of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement and its military wing, Saraya Al-Quds, and on the third anniversary of the Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood, to celebrate with all pride and honor the resistance of our great and brave Palestinian people, and to immortalize their continuous sacrifices since the aggression against our Arab region and the occupation of Palestine.
Here, we must pause with all appreciation and reverence before the sacrifices of our brothers in Lebanon and their valiant and courageous resistance, who did not hesitate to support the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, waged fierce battles with the enemy, and made great sacrifices of martyrs and property for more than two years in support of the Palestinian people and their resistance.
Likewise, our brothers in Yemen, despite the distance between us, were present on the battlefield with all they could muster.
And on all fronts of confrontation with the enemy, more than ninety thousand martyrs have ascended so far. These are stars in the sky, alive with their Lord receiving provision, alive in our memory, and alive throughout history.
Here, it is my duty to highlight the titles of these martyrs, and to name their leaders, who are our leaders at the same time—these men who stepped to the front lines in their lives, and stepped to the front lines in their martyrdom, and were an expression of the spirit of the nation that rejects submission and surrender to the enemy.
They are:
On the Palestine front: the great martyr and leader Ismail Haniyeh, the icon of Palestine's martyrs, the martyr Yahya Al-Sinwar, the martyr commander Sheikh Saleh Al-Arouri, and their brothers...
And on the Lebanese front: the great martyr, Master of the Martyrs of the Lebanese, Arab, and Islamic Resistance, His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and the eminent martyr, His Eminence Sayyed Hashem Safieddine...
And likewise the martyrs of our movement: the great fighting brother Abdul Aziz Al-Minawi, the martyr commander Rasmi Abu Issa, the great martyr Abdul Rahman Shehab, and many martyrs of our leadership and members of our military council: the martyr commander Ali Al-Razayneh, the martyr commander Abu Ali Al-Na'em, the martyr commander Mohammed Abu Sakhil, and many other field commanders and fighters...
Here, I must pause with all appreciation and respect before the martyrdom of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, His Eminence Sayyed Ali Khamenei, who will remain a towering figure that history books cannot miss in confronting zionist-American arrogance and global injustice.
We renew the pledge to our people and our nation to remain committed to the path of jihad and resistance, which will continue, and we emphasize the following:
First: The unity of the Palestinian people and their political forces is a fundamental goal of our movement, and we will strive diligently to achieve it.
Second: The unity of the resistance forces in Palestine and in the region will remain intact, regardless of the challenges.
Third: Working with every possible effort to help support the Palestinian people and provide them with what is necessary for a dignified life... and this is through openness to our brothers in the Arab and Islamic countries, urging them to carry out their duties to protect the steadfastness of our Palestinian people on their land.
Fourth: We thank the Arab and Islamic countries and their peoples for the humanitarian aid they provided during the aggression, and we demand further effort and further support from them to alleviate the suffering of our people.
Fifth: We thank all the free peoples in various parts of the world who came out to express their support and solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Sixth: Our Palestinian people will not abandon resisting the occupation by all means, as long as the zionist project remains on our land.
