Registration for the MaritimeONE Case Summit 2026 is open! 🚢
This year, together with AET, MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company, Petredec Global and Pacific International Lines (PIL), the MaritimeONE Case Summit is challenging students to respond to real-world cases at the intersection of maritime business, sustainability and innovation.
Why join the MaritimeONE Case Summit (MCS):
• Hone your critical thinking skills and creativity
• Build networks with maritime professionals
• Gain real-world experience that stands out on your resume
• Pitch your ideas to the leaders shaping the future of global shipping
• Stand to win cash prizes of up to $4,000
You may find a synopsis of each challenge statement below.
• AET: To develop innovative and business-driven solutions tailored for the crude tanker lightering business that optimise vessel pairing, lightering locations, scheduling, and cargo split, taking into consideration various real-world conditions.
• MSC: Develop a credible, privacy- & policy‑compliant framework to measure, report and reduce MSC Asia Regional Office’s Scope 3 employee commuting and business travel emissions, supporting science‑based targets and net‑zero ambitions.
• Petredec Global: The regional escalation in the Middle East has highlighted the world’s continued dependence on fossil fuels and the significant reliance on the Strait of Hormuz. In the aftermath, what steps do you see countries and corporations taking to strengthen their energy security over the next decade, and where does LPG fit into this? How might ongoing trade disruptions affect the long-term prospects for growth in the LPG space?
• PIL: Design a decision-support solution that optimises bunkering decisions across ports, including improving cost efficiency through the evaluation of fuel prices, vessel constraints, and operational factors.
