🔸New Guidelines for Animal Shelters launched to safeguard animal welfare in Singapore🔸
Every animal deserves a safe, caring environment while waiting for a forever home. ❤️
AVS launched the Guidelines for Animal Shelters today at Paws in the City, AVS' first adoption drive in Singapore's CBD. The guidelines establish benchmarks and best operational practices to safeguard animal welfare and strengthen accountability and transparency across shelters in Singapore, developed with input from animal groups, veterinarians, trainers, and members of the public.
AVS also shared about the progress on the Trap-Neuter-Rehome/Release-Manage (TNRM) programme for free-roaming dogs since its launch in 2018. About 4,500 dogs have been enrolled, with more than 65% rehomed, fostered or sheltered, and over 2,700 Singapore Specials rehomed through Project ADORE. 🐾
