One of my goals this summer is getting back into reading fiction seriously. Last summer I finished around 5–8 books, though some of them were books I had started before and forgot to continue. I also remember finishing an entire trilogy in a really short time, which honestly made reading even more fun.
This summer I decided to go for something much bigger: the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas , 8 books in total.
In the beginning of this year I started The Assassin’s Blade, but since it’s not actually the first book in the series, I recently restarted from Throne of Glass itself. I had stopped for a long time, but now I’ve resumed reading it again, and it’s actually getting interesting. I feel like I just haven’t reached the major core events yet, which makes sense considering how huge the series is.
A lot of my friends have been recommending this series to me for a long time, so I finally decided to commit to it this summer. If it stops making sense or loses me completely, I’ll quit honestly 😭 but for now I want to keep reading because I feel like the story is only starting to build up.
Anyway… I’ll keep reading and come back later with my final opinion on whether it was worth it or not.
