3.A Major Shift for N. gonorrhoeae :
The 36th Edition has added Intermediate and Resistant MIC breakpoints for Ceftriaxone and Cefixime.
Disk diffusion comments that were previously "temporarily removed" have been finalized.
4.Salmonella & Shigella: No longer just a subset of Enterobacterales—they now have their own dedicated Table (1A-2) for more precise reporting.
5.Updated breakpoints for Amikacin, Gentamicin, and Tobramycin when testing Acinetobacter spp.
6.S. maltophilia: A revised disk diffusion breakpoint for Cefiderocol.
7.Burkholderia cepacia complex, comment regarding ECV is removed. Reference on Antimicrobial testing methods added.
8.Beta hemolytic Streptococcus species : Cotrimoxazole MIC for SSTI infections only has been added (last resort).
