📘 Grammar Focus of the Day: Present Perfect vs. Past Simple
These two often confuse learners, but the difference is easy 👇
🔹 1. Present Perfect (have/has + past participle)
➡️ Focus on experience, results now, or unfinished time.
Examples:
• “I have visited Italy.” (experience)
• “She has lost her keys.” (result now)
• “I haven’t eaten today.” (today = unfinished)
🔹 2. Past Simple (verb + ed / irregular)
➡️ Finished actions in finished time.
Examples:
• “I visited Italy last year.”
• “She lost her keys yesterday.”
• “We watched a movie on Sunday.”
✔️ Present perfect = connection to now
✔️ Past simple = finished time word
