For the sixteenth year, the fires of Folkish Summer Hallowing were kindled again.
Tradition does not survive because it is convenient. It survives because people choose to carry it—through hardship, sacrifice, change, and uncertainty.
This year asked more of us. And still, the Blót was made.
We gathered for the Gods. We remembered our ancestors. We gave our time, our labor, our strength, and our sacrifice so that what was handed down would not end with us.
This year, a son stepped forward to help carry the tradition his father had helped preserve before him. That is how a living tradition survives—not by remaining frozen in one generation, but by being taken up by the next.
The altar was raised, the fire lit.
The Gods were honored, ancestors remembered.
The children stood witness.
And the tradition was carried forward.
Tradition is not simply repeating what came before, but protecting it, tending it, and refusing to let it fade when things becomes difficult.
