The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, SPHMMC, kindly invites all qualifying candidates to apply for the following fellowship programs for the 2026/2027 Academic Year:
Maternal Fetal Medicine
Gynecologic Oncology
Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility
Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery
Family Planning and Reproductive Health
Application time: July 20 – August 20, 2026
Document Screening and Entrance Examination August 21–30, 2026
Tentative interview date August 27 and 28, 2026
Registration and Enrollment
Registration: September 21–22, 2026
Late Registration: September 23, 2026
Orientation: September 23, 2026
Classes Begin: September 23, 2026
Two fellowship positions are available in each program. Additional positions may be considered for the Family Planning and Reproductive Health Fellowship through South-to-South collaboration.

Admission Requirements
The candidate should be a graduate of a recognized Medical School with a Doctor of Medicine degree and specialty certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
The candidate must successfully complete the screening process conducted by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, SPHMMC.
The candidate should submit two recommendation letters from their respective institutions.
The candidate should have a passing grade on the National Graduate Admission Test (NGAT).
The candidate should be registered and licensed to practice Obstetrics and Gynecology by the relevant authority in Ethiopia.
The candidate should have adequate mental and physical health.

Application Procedure

Applicants should submit:
Application letter
Letter of intent (maximum 750 words) describing their interest in the fellowship, its anticipated impact on their career, and their long-term professional goals
Recent Curriculum Vitae (CV)
Copies of academic credentials, including degree certificate and student grade report
Two letters of recommendation
