Major Diwan Chand Chauhan displayed exceptional courage during a counter-infiltration operation in the Rajwar Sector of Kupwara, J&K.
Leading his team from the front, he helped foil an infiltration attempt and fought bravely despite being grievously wounded. He later made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.
