🇺🇳 🇬🇧 A UN racial-discrimination committee has told Britain to honour “the contributions of people of African descent” in public spaces as part of “reparatory justice” for slavery and colonialism.
The advice also calls for school curricula to be rewritten. The UN General Assembly voted to call the trafficking of Africans “the gravest crime against humanity,” with no mention of the Barbary slave trade that enslaved many Europeans.
