An Uber executive is predicting that within the next 15 to 20 years, owning your own vehicle and carrying a driver’s license could largely become things of the past.
Uber President and COO Andrew Macdonald says he doesn’t believe his young daughters will even need to get driver’s licenses when they grow up.
Why? Because he envisions a future dominated by autonomous vehicles, ride-sharing, public transportation, bicycles, and scooters — where transportation increasingly becomes something you access rather than something you personally own.
