Best Buy is moving compatibility checks and support routing into one AI shopping path
Best Buy has begun a phased rollout of Ask Blue, a conversational assistant that pulls from product details, customer reviews, availability, and pricing so shoppers can compare items or check compatibility before they buy. It can also route a customer from self-service into live support when the question turns into a real purchase decision.
On the same earnings call, Best Buy said Q2 comparable sales rose 4.1% year over year and revenue grew 3.6% to $9.8 billion, while leadership pointed to fast delivery and clearer scheduling as critical parts of the appliance journey.
Seller takeaway: the strongest commerce AI flow is a handoff layer that keeps comparison, compatibility, pricing, and human support in one session.
