I just wanted to convey the message after calling ECFMG today, particularly for the ECFMG certification application.
The current fees on Oasis are 160 USD and they will change to 560 USD on the 10th of August.
My inquiry was about if someone pays the 160 USD now and downloads their form 186 and for some reason they failed to notarize it by the 10th of August, will they have to repay the fees?
The answer is unfortunately yes.
They mentioned that completing the notary form is crucial for that step. The main reason is that the form 186 ( un-notarized ) will no longer be acceptable by Intealth and a new form will be available on the new system that requires the new fees (560 USD).
For anyone who paid the 160 USD now , since notary cam has high volume of applications nowadays, they mentioned on phone to click: meet now and be ready, keep an eye on your email until they schedule an urgent notary appointment. Wishing everyone the best.
