I wish for a place with no noise and no light,
Where silence would swallow the sound.
I’d walk till my feet are all bruises and white,
But tears keep on falling unbound.
I long for your gaze — but not soft, not kind —
Just real, so I know you exist.
To hold you for good, but I'm left behind,
And the world is a fog in the mist.
When you are near, I forget how to ache,
When you are gone, I forget how to breathe.
There’s no sense in shining for my own sake —
Without you, even sunlight is grief.
