Forgiveness

Memory Verse: Matthew 5:23-24
Jesus taught that if we had anything against our brother we were to forgive them before we brought our gifts unto God and He even made an example on the cross by praying for those who nailed him to the cross and asking the Father to forgive them. If indeed we are followers of Christ we ought to emulate this in our lives. The scripture calls believers to show mercy unto others so that God will also show mercy unto us. There are people in life who honestly don't deserve forgiveness but its not about what anyone deserves but its about what the Master has commanded us to do
Prayer:
Our heavenly Father, we are grateful for yet another day. We thank you for the perfect example our lord Jesus showed us while on earth, may we learn to forgive one another just as you have forgiven us through the power of your wonderful Holy Spirit. Amen
