Repentance from dead works

Memory Verse: Hebrews 6:1
As a believer, the bible speaks of the basic teaching about faith in christ and the first is repentance from dead works. So what are dead works? Dead works are acts that lead to death and acts that do not originate out of love for God or faith in the Him therefore are useless in the goal of spiritual life. These works don't only include sinful acts but also somewhat moral activities that are not done in faith. The scripture urges us to repent from these and act only in faith since anything not done in faith is sin and sin is lawlessness. May we change our minds and be transformed as we set our minds on heavenly things.
Prayer:
Our heavenly Father, we come before you in humility. we thank you for the cross and for the empty tomb. We pray father that you help us to repent from dead works that aren't beneficial to the spirit man. As we go about our day, may we be filled with your Holy Spirit and love others just as you have commanded us to. Amen.
