Struggle with sin

Memory Verse: Proverbs 24:16
Inasmuch as we a born again, our flesh still remains therefore there is a constant struggle between the flesh and the spirit's desires. Paul wrote of this struggle in much detail in Romans 7 saying the things He wants to do he cannot do but only the things he doesn't want to do is what he ends up doing. Yet this isn't a sign of lack of discipline or weakness but a sign that the Holy Spirit is at work within you and though we may fall, we aren't comfortable remaining on the ground and the Holy Spirit convicts us unto repentance and renewed fellowship with God through Jesus our Lord. Continue to persevere till you receive the crown God has promised us.
Prayer:
Our heavenly Father, we come before you in humility. we thank you for the cross and for the empty tomb. We are grateful for the ministry of your wonderful Holy Spirit who is always with us and guiding us though we fall sometimes, may we not be comfortable in our sin but may we learn to follow the promptings of your Spirit and obey. Amen.
