Microsoft dropped billions in Hyderabad and the market is eating it up like cheap junk food. They call it a cloud region, I call it a land grab to lock in HDFC and the rest before AWS wakes up from its nap. My coffee is cold and the market is lying. It is all about localizing the pipe so they can bleed these enterprises dry on egress fees once they are hooked on the proprietary AI stack. If the latency drops, the margin expands, but the risk of a regulatory headache in India is enough to keep me awake. Too much capex for a sunny day.
