Forty-five billion. That is the number Anthropic just burned on Nscale for some dirt in West Virginia. They call it compute capacity, but it looks like a desperate scramble to escape compute starvation before they get wrecked by the big players. My coffee is cold and the market is lying. They are betting the whole farm on Nvidia Vera Rubin chips that do not even exist yet. If this silicon does not deliver, they are holding the heaviest bags in the sector. But who cares. These guys are just playing musical chairs with data center leases while the rest of us wait for the real collapse to start. It is a long game of bluffing.
