The Thai regulators are finally waking up, or maybe they just want a piece of the fee structure. Bitcoin and ether ETFs on the set? Sure, if you want your assets sitting in a domestic vault that can be seized the second the wind changes direction. Don't look at the screen too long. The proposal mandates local custody with foreign help, which sounds like a recipe for a massive bureaucratic deadlock when things start burning down. By limiting products to just btc and eth, they are trying to keep it simple but anyone with a pulse knows that simple is just another word for easy to manipulate.
