The Responsible Fintech Institute and Safeheron have launched a joint pilot: signing digital-asset transfers with a quantum-resistant algorithm.
What exactly is being tested
Splitting the key between two parties, so neither ever holds the whole thing, on top of the ML-DSA-65 signature — the US NIST standard. The proving ground is the NEAR testnet.
Who is taking part
The financial regulators of Abu Dhabi, Bhutan and Malta, as observers for now. Bison Bank and DK Bank, as participants.
Why now, when the quantum computer is not here yet
Because a signature left in an open ledger stays there forever. It can be collected now and broken later.
No single bank, vendor, or regulator solves this alone
— Chia Hock Lai, Responsible Fintech Institute
The code is promised as open source.
