21 major financial institutions are teaming up to create a company that will issue a U.S. dollar-pegged stablecoin in the first half of 2027.
The group includes Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, Citi and Deutsche Bank.
The initiative also plans to expand into other G7 currencies, with the euro as a priority after the initial USD stablecoin.
