If evil is a privation of good/being, then hell can't exist - if hell is maximally evil, it is a maximal privation of all being. In other words, non-existence.
The Christian wants to hold to a platonic theory of good and evil while denying its logical necessities.
Christians who believe in hell are literally believing in a form of Steven Law's "Evil god"
Just like how evil god is supposed to be a maximally great being except without the greatness of morality, Hell is maximal existence except without any good.
