If you've ever wanted to write for the stage but weren't sure where to begin, Play-building: Ways to Begin Writing for the Stage is for you.
Led by playwright Michelle Tan, this eight-session course explores the fundamentals of playwriting through a range of exploratory exercises, close reading and discussion of texts, and practical writing activities. Along the way, you'll begin shaping the building blocks of a play while discovering and refining your own writing process, from drafting and crafting to bringing your work off the page and into the world.
Who is this for?
🎭 Writers who are beginning to explore playwriting and aspire to tell stories for the stage. No prior playwriting experience is required, though an interest in theatre, whether as an audience member, enthusiast, performer, producer, or creator, will be helpful.
