St Augustine’s Confessions is more than the story of a saint. It’s the honest story of someone who struggled, made mistakes, searched for meaning, and spent years finding his way back to God.
Maybe that’s why his story feels so familiar. The saints weren’t perfect. They were people who let God meet them where they were and slowly transform their lives.
And that’s the beauty of the Church: there is always room for us to come home. No matter how far we’ve wandered or how many times we’ve fallen, God never stops calling us back.
