But honestly, how many times does it feel like you are? When friends start getting married, having children and building lives together, it can be hard not to wonder, “God, what about me?” Sometimes singleness can feel like standing on the sidelines while everyone else moves forward. But your life is not on pause. God has not forgotten you. There are people He wants you to meet, places He wants you to go, and ways He wants to work through you in this season. So instead of only asking, “When will my life change?” perhaps ask, “Lord, what are You inviting me into today?”
And that doesn’t mean the ache of singleness isn’t real. It can hurt to desire something good and not know when it will come. But there are still friendships to nurture, places to explore, prayers to pray and ways God is shaping you right now. Maybe this season isn’t a consolation prize. Maybe it’s a gift we’re still learning to receive. 🙏
