On this feast of St. Bartholomew, we remember an apostle whose love for Christ remained steadfast even when following Him came at an unimaginable cost. His witness reminds us that faith is not simply about believing in an idea, but about knowing, loving and choosing to follow Jesus.
We may not have walked alongside Jesus as the Apostles did, but He still invites us into a real relationship with Him today. In our joys, struggles, questions and uncertainties, may we turn to Him in prayer and, like St. Bartholomew, grow in the courage to follow Christ faithfully, trusting in His love.
