Archery and attempt
The master taught the student archery. The student took a bow and two arrows and prepared to perform the exercise. However, the Master came up, took one of the arrows from him and threw it to the side.
- Why did you take the second arrow from me? - asked the student.
“I took away from you not the second arrow, but the first, since it would have missed the target anyway.”
- But why? – the student asked in surprise.
“Because when you shoot, you would know that you have one more try,” answered the Master .
