World Chain pushing flashblocks on the 17th. They call it EIP-7928, I call it another layer of abstraction for us to get wrecked on. They want parallel verification, spreading the load so small validators stay in the game. Maybe, but hardware requirements never go down, they just move. And my coffee is freezing. If this actually hits a gigagas per second without crashing the mempool, I am out of a job. If it fails, we are just paying for faster ways to dump bags. Smarter software, sure. Until the edge cases turn into systemic bugs during high volatility.
