People always ask me what the “secret” is to becoming a good trader.
It’s not an overly complicated strategy. It’s not having six monitors on your desk.
It’s RISK MANAGEMENT. RISK MANAGEMENT. RISK MANAGEMENT.
September is the perfect example! 💯
We took 23 trades, secured 16 wins, and closed the month at +1,133 net pips. Three of our four trading weeks were profitable, including back-to-back weeks with win rates above 80%.
Week 4 has been more challenging and is still in progress—but that does not erase everything we accomplished throughout the month.
This is also where trading psychology comes in, especially when you trade publicly. After our losses, I wanted to revenge trade so badly. I wanted to immediately take another trade and prove that I could recover.
But that would have meant going against my own trading plan.
Real discipline is knowing when to stop. Good trading isn’t about avoiding every stop loss—it’s about protecting your account when you’re wrong, controlling your emotions, and allowing your profitable weeks to outweigh the difficult ones.
We don’t revenge trade. We don’t overtrade. We don’t abandon our plan after a loss.
That’s the story of September: discipline over emotion, patience over pressure, and risk management over everything. 📈
