The "Jala Asti" app is designed to digitize and geo-tag over 3 lakh rural water assets across Karnataka.
✅ Geo-tagging is made mandatory to ensure transparency, track water resources like borewells properly, and prevent fake billing.
✅ The program is spearheaded by the Department of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (RDPR), Government of Karnataka.
