NEW: Former Romanian minister Claudiu Năsui has been proposed to join Moldova’s government as Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization.
The former Romanian official has received Moldovan citizenship and is expected to resign from his seat in Romania’s parliament. His priorities will include deregulation, reforming state-owned enterprises, cutting bureaucracy, and supporting small and medium-sized businesses. Former Moldovan President Igor Dodon has already framed the move as part of an alleged gradual unification process with Romania.
