📩 ANGLO fest — Important Information for All Guests
Tomorrow — on Sunday, 13 September — we'll meet at the first family English festival, ANGLO fest. Here's everything important in one email. Please read to the end — there are some key organisational details.
📍 Where and when
The British International School (BIS)
Nakhimovsky Prospekt, 35A
Metro Profsoyuznaya — about 10-15 minutes on foot.
Time: 11:00 — 15:00
After 15:00 — relaxed networking, disco, and the Fair continues until 16:00.
Registration opens at 11:00, the official opening is at 11:30. Please arrive a little early so you can check in calmly and look around.
You can come later and stay as long as you wish.
Our team of volunteers will have red bandanas ❤️ and will be happy to help you throughout the fest.
🚗 Parking
Parking by the school — spaces are available right by the grounds.
Courtyards nearby — you can also park in the neighbouring courtyards.
‘Artisan’ ceramic store nearby also has parking, just a couple of minutes from the school.
🛂 What to bring
Please bring at least one passport — for the person whose name the family was registered under. The school is a secured building, and you'll need to confirm your identity at the entrance. Unfortunately, without a passport you may not be allowed in.
Also worth bringing but not obligatory:
- items to sell at the charity fair (toys, books, food or handmade stuff) and price labels. We can store your bag until the fair begins;
- comfortable shoes and raincoats and umbrella (for good luck not to use it);
- a bottle of water and a snack if you want but there’s also a cafe to buy on spot;
- a good mood 🙂
🇬🇧 We're creating a 100% English environment
This is the heart of our festival. We do our best to make sure only English is spoken all day.
What this means in practice:
We speak English — with children and with each other.
If a child switches to Russian, we gently help them return to English.
If English is hard for you — that's completely fine! Just try to speak quietly and separately, so you don't break the full-immersion experience for the children.
We're not here for perfect English — we're here for the atmosphere where English becomes natural.
💛 Donations, the Raffle, and the Fair — how it works
ANGLO fest is a non-profit partnership. We're building this celebration together, and all funds raised go to support the equine therapy centre "Preodolenie", which helps children and adults with limited mobility and other disabilities.
💛 How to help
1. Make a donation
Donate via the QR code at the Registration desk, or in cash at the Currency Exchange desk. You'll receive the equivalent amount in ANGLO fest coins — our internal festival currency.
2. Buy some Fest currency to use it at the Charity fair.
Handmade items, English books, toys and treats are expected.
3. Enter the Charity Raffle — win great prizes!
Prize value: 3,000 ₽ – 7,000 ₽
300 ₽ — 2 tickets
500 ₽ — 3 tickets
1000 ₽ — 5 tickets

🎟 Sticker Challenge — collect stickers, earn a coin
Want another way to earn coins? Join the Sticker Challenge:
Your child can take part in different activities at different stations.
At each station, they receive one sticker.
Collect 3 stickers — and exchange them for 1 ANGLO fest coin at the Registration desk.
Spend your coin at the Fair.
You can also keep a coin as a souvenir — a little memory of the festival 🙂
At the exit volunteers will be appointed to collect the rest of the coins for future ANGLOfest.
