🤖 DeepMind Maps All 9 Billion Human DNA Variants With AlphaGenome Atlas
Google DeepMind has released AlphaGenome Atlas, a free, publicly accessible database containing AI-predicted molecular effects for all 9 billion possible single-letter DNA variants in the human genome.
Built on DeepMind's AlphaGenome sequence-to-function model, Atlas precomputes predictions across the entire genome and assigns each variant a single impact score (AVI). A companion technical paper was released alongside the platform. DeepMind says the resource could help scientists identify causes of rare genetic diseases and find potential cures.
