🚀 Nonprofit Plans 2029 Launch of 80,000-Year Alpha Centauri Probe
The Fermi Explorer Mission, a nonprofit, has announced plans to launch a small, low-cost spacecraft toward Alpha Centauri — 4.4 light-years away — by the end of 2029. At conventional speeds, the probe would take up to 80,000 years to arrive.
