Screening 🩺
Our Screening Committee plans our project’s annual health screening, from deciding on the different screening modalities to sourcing sponsorships for participants’ goodie bags! 🎁
Intervention 📚
Our flagship H.E.A.L. workshops are aimed at community seniors who have been identified as pre-frail. From curating content on topics such as healthy eating and health literacy to conducting interactive activities like skits, we have the opportunity to engage and interact closely with our seniors during the workshops! 💬
Outreach 📸
Our outreach committee helps to publicise our events through Instagram and capture our project’s key moments! Besides this, we also work on our committee photoshoot, recruitment and designing our attractive merch sale shirts and stickers!!! ✏️
Research 🔬
Our research committee is currently working on a community health study investigating how health awareness, beliefs, and healthcare access influence screening uptake and preventive health behaviours among older adults in Singapore - this year, we are focussing on concepts such as intrinsic capacity and COM-B 🔬🔍🕵️ Each cycle, we work on drafting research questions, designing methodologies and data analysis alongside our project mentors. These eventually culminate into conference abstracts and posters presented at both local and international conferences! ✈️
