2. The SC/ST Act has become a tool for money extortion, blackmail, and settling personal vendettas. This is admitted by police and courts as well.
3. NCRB data suggests only 1% of total crimes are against the SC/ST community, out of which 70-80% are non-serious in nature.
4. The average rate of crimes against SC/ST is 15 times lower than the national average.
5. Only 0.08% of total crimes in India are filed under the SC/ST Act.
