He was injured and supposed to go home, but Obama wouldn't let him leave because he wanted the world to see him give this Marine a Purple Heart on camera, and wouldn't fly his family out for the presentation.
So, he told Obama to "Go Fu*ck Himself," and then the Purple Heart was presented and pinned to his bed sheet at the Hospital by the Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps, with his mother and wife present, as they should have been in the first place.
This Marine deserves a medal just for telling Obama to "Go Fu*k Himself."
