Hi everyone! It’s almost the third week of October which means Puppy Pound is this coming Thursday! Come over to Brewers from 7-11 and enjoy a puppy mosh until 9 with tunes spun by DJ Pup Techie!
We also have a special announcement. SCP is going to be starting a community food pantry called Community Kibble! Starting at this month’s Puppy Pound you’ll be able to find a marked box filled with non-perishable foods. The Community Kibble is open to anybody in our community who needs help securing food for themselves, no questions asked. Anytime you see it at an event if you’re in need of food assistance feel free to take some items home with you. Please make sure you’re leaving enough food for everybody who might need it, and if your need for assistance is greater than what the Community Kibble can provide members of SCP leadership can help you find more food resources.
Likewise, we ask those of you in our community who can afford to to bring some non-perishable goods, especially nutritious ones like canned vegetables and soups, dried beans, etc. Please bring your donations to Puppy Pound events going forward and leave them in the Community Kibble box. The Community Kibble operates on the “give what you can, take what you need” principal.
We want to make sure everyone in our community is taken care of, and we hope efforts like these will foster a community that cares for its own. We love all y’all pups and pets and we can’t wait to see you next week 💖
