Actually my lil sis is just 12 yrs old. Nd today I happened to see that she has started liking someone and wants to have a boyfriend. She was writing all these things in her diary..
Before I could even understand how to handle the situation, a huge family scene was created nd now she’s just been crying.
Ik kids nowadays experience hormonal changes nd feelings like crushes and attraction much earlier than before. Nd i don’t want to shame her or make her feel like what she’s feeling is wrong, but at the same time, I really want to guide her properly and keep her safe.
I’m honestly confused about how I should talk to her, what boundaries i should explain nd how i can make her feel comfortable enough to come to me instead of hiding things.
If you’ve dealt with something similar with a younger sibling, what would you suggest i do ?
And please, no unnecessary or judgmental comments. I’m genuinely looking for advice and don’t want to hear any irrelevant or hurtful stuff.
