China is reportedly calling on the United States to immediately release Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and put an end to what Beijing describes as violations of the sovereignty and security of other countries.
Beijing says respect for national sovereignty and territorial integrity must be upheld.
Tensions continue to rise as China and the U.S. clash over Venezuela and international sovereignty.
