The Indian Army has announced the start of Op Sindoor 2, indicating a much higher level of military preparedness along the western front. Speaking on the matter, Lt Gen Rajesh Pushhkar, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Army’s 2 Corps, said that the earlier Op Sindoor involved limited action against Pakistan, which forced Pakistan to contact India within four days to seek de-escalation. Lt Gen Pushhkar stated that Op Sindoor 2 is far more extensive in scale. While operational details remain confidential, he emphasized that the Indian Army is fully prepared to respond through air, land, and sea if required.
