Kenya and World Bank Advance USD 335 Million Health Investments
The discussions focused on improving Primary Health Care, expanding access to quality services and bringing healthcare closer to communities through strengthened Level 2 and Level 3 facilities September 4, 2026/APO Group/ -- Cabinet Secretary for Health Hon. Aden Duale held strategic discussions with Mr Ronald Mutasa and a World Bank delegation on accelerating Kenya’s health sector reforms through two flagship investments valued at USD 335 million.
The Building Resilient and Responsive Health Systems (BREHS) Project and the Kenya Health Emergency Preparedness, Response and Resilience (KHEPRR) Project are supporting the country’s efforts to achieve Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and strengthen health security.
The discussions focused on improving Primary Health Care, expanding access to quality services and bringing healthcare closer to communities through strengthened Level 2 and Level 3 facilities.
The investments will also enhance the country’s capacity to prevent, prepare for and respond effectively to public health emergencies and emerging health threats.
Hon. Duale reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to working closely with the World Bank to ensure the investments deliver measurable improvements in health institutions, frontline services and health outcomes for Kenyans.
The engagement underscored the need to translate investment into impact by building a responsive and resilient health system that provides accessible, affordable and quality healthcare.
